Jeremy Gomez
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Jeremy received his BA in Business from Wartburg College in 2004 and immediately worked in retail for Scheels All Sports as a Specialty Shop Manager. During his time at Scheels, Jeremy worked part-time at the local YMCA where he worked with students with disabilities at an after-school program and summer program, loving every minute of it. After spending two years in retail, Jeremy realized that the retail business wasn’t for him. Jeremy then took a full-time position at Exceptional Persons, Inc. in Waterloo, Iowa where he worked one-on-one with an adult with a disability helping him with his daily living skills. He enjoyed this position, but felt he should try putting his Bachelor's degree to use in the field of business and accepted a Loan Processor position with Wells Fargo, which moved him to Des Moines. After a couple years of sitting behind a desk and computer every day he soon realized that wasn’t for him either. Jeremy then worked for Creative Community Options in Ankeny, IA working with three gentlemen to assist them in their daily living skills. A short time later, Jeremy moved to Cedar Rapids, IA to be closer to his family, where he worked for Systems Unlimited before taking a full-time supervisor position at REM. Jeremy worked at REM for about two years before deciding to pursue his Masters Degree in Special Education. Jeremy took a full-time position at Harding Middle School where he worked in the Autism classroom and gained valuable experience working with students within the classroom. On January 31, 2012 Jeremy completed his Masters Degree from the University of Phoenix in Special Education.
